Our Commitment to Healthy, Happy Dachshund Puppies
Veterinary Health Examination
Before leaving for their new homes, every puppy receives a comprehensive health examination by a licensed veterinarian. Each puppy will be:
- Thoroughly examined and certified to be in good health.
- Up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations.
- Dewormed according to a veterinarian-approved schedule.
- Monitored for normal growth and development.
- Sent home with a health record documenting vaccinations, deworming, and veterinary care.
Genetic Health Guarantee
We provide a one-year genetic health guarantee against life-threatening hereditary or congenital conditions that significantly affect your puppy’s quality of life.
If, within one year of your puppy’s date of birth, a licensed veterinarian diagnoses a serious hereditary condition that existed prior to placement, we may, upon review of the veterinary documentation, offer one of the following at our discretion:
- A replacement puppy of equal value when one becomes available.
- A partial reimbursement toward veterinary expenses.
- Another mutually agreed-upon resolution.
This guarantee applies only to hereditary or congenital conditions and does not cover illnesses, injuries, or conditions acquired after the puppy leaves our care.
Conditions Not Covered
This guarantee does not cover:
- Injuries or accidents after the puppy leaves our care.
- Illnesses caused by environmental exposure or improper care.
- Parasites, minor skin conditions, allergies, or common puppy illnesses that are generally treatable.
- Conditions resulting from obesity, improper exercise, poor nutrition, or excessive jumping, which can be especially harmful to Dachshunds due to their long backs.
- Veterinary expenses incurred without prior communication when required under this guarantee.
Conditions Not Covered
This guarantee does not cover:
- Injuries or accidents after the puppy leaves our care.

- Conditions resulting from obesity, improper exercise, poor nutrition, or excessive jumping, which can be especially harmful to Dachshunds due to their long backs.

Buyer's Responsibilities
To ensure your puppy remains healthy, we ask every new owner to:
- Schedule a veterinary examination within 72 hours of receiving your puppy.
- Follow your veterinarian’s recommendations for vaccinations, parasite prevention, nutrition, and routine healthcare.
- Provide proper nutrition, exercise, and a safe living environment.
- Maintain regular veterinary care throughout your dog’s life.
Failure to have the puppy examined within the required timeframe may void this health guarantee.
Our Breeding Standards
We carefully select our breeding dogs for health, temperament, and breed quality. Our goal is to produce Dachshund puppies that are healthy, well-socialized, and excellent family companions.
While no breeder can guarantee that a living animal will never develop a health issue, we take every reasonable step to reduce genetic risks through responsible breeding practices and ongoing health management.
